Sinopsis: En un barroco hotel, un extraño, X, intenta persuadir a una mujer casada, A, de que abandone a su marido, M, y se fugue con él. Se basa en una promesa que ella le hizo cuando se conocieron el año anterior, en Marienbad, pero la mujer parece no recordar aquel encuentro.
